What is a Fluid Bed Dryer?

A fluid bed dryer is used for batch or continuous drying of powders, crystals and granulated materials.  Drying is achieved by the transfer of heat from a fluidising air stream as it comes into contact with the moist material.  Drying air temperatures of 550°C are achieved, generating product temperatures of 400°C.
